Pair these with a NFB-12 and you would probably be in heaven. The NFB12 is slightly rolled off in the high end by design, which sounds like a perfect mate for the 011

Are these as detailed as the 990/600's (new ones)?  And since I own a pair, would the FA-011 be redundant?  I've been thinking about the 03 woodies, since that should give me a different SQ.  But less expensive is always nice.

If at all possible, it would be awesome if you could compare them with the Audio Technicas W1000 and AD2000 (my current favorites :-).

Got a reply back from Dimitri saying he hopes they are available soon and that the shortage is because these are not mass produced.

I see. Thanks. Any suggestions for an equally affordable amp for these? I don't have one and I see it's suggested in the review.
