REVIEW: Fischer Audio FA-011 - OFF THE DEEP END!! - Page 122

I got mine just a couple of weeks ago from GD Audiobase and it was only offered in natural wood color so I assume it's the latest version with thicker pads and the defects corrected.  I did a little research before purchasing and it seems the older reddish color were more affected by defects.  Mine barely reaches decent loudness levels w/o amping.

Hate to break it for you, but their are defect's even in the new batch (go fair few pages back), channel imbalance is a new one with the newer batches, apparantly it doesn't sound the same as the old ones. The first batch dark red color ones barely had any defect's, it was the blacker red one's that were a bad batch.

I guess I'll hope for the best then.  They really sound good though.  Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong with them.  DO NOT want to deal with shipping these back to Russia since it took so long to get them.

Yeah that's been attempted. Fischer responded to an initial query and asked for photos. They've been sent (+ an additional email) but there has been no reply in over a month. Then I looked into going through GD Audiobase but as I've mentioned it does not look like a very good option. Dmitry didn't say anything in an email response except link me to the page which says to send the headphones over to Russia.

And yep mine are black, very hard to see the red tinge unless under some bright light.

I was in Bris-vegas till the last 18 months, but Woody Point, Redcliffe is part of whats called 'Greater Brisbane', its closer to CBD than some other parts of Brissie, but its no afternoon stroll, bout 35-40 mins drive north on a good traffic day. Saw your query in the meet thread avoshake (buckshot in my general direction) replied over there.

Ahk, coz I recall seeing Brisbane set for your location at one stage I think and wasn't too sure and your the first person that comes to mind when it comes to DIY/repair stuff located in QLD.

Try posting on the Fischer Audio facebook page, companies tend to care about those things more.

How many revisions are there? I'm looking at two from here and here and the wood looks different despite both being labelled as "natural".

I think these are the same. I remember reading somewhere that because it's real wood there can be quiet som difference in the colors from one pair to another and even on the same pair.

I wouldn't worry. It took mine about a month to arrive and the tracking number they provided didn't work. My previous experience with them was the same but in the end, I received my headphones.

I ordered a pair on the the 7th of August and they have yet to arrive. I had emailed Dimitry saying I was considering cancelling the order and what do you know the status was almost instantly changed to shipped. I sent him a few emails trying to get the tracking number over the last 3 weeks but never got a response. He left me no choice but to dispute the transaction with Paypal  I was really looking forward to getting these!
