Static in AD700's from jack/comp?

I have a brand new pair of AD700's that I've been trying out over the weekend.  I've played mp3 and FLAC, M4A files and I've noticed some static here and there across all formats.  I'm running off of my PC, which has Realtek High Definition Audio.  The headphones plug into a jack on the front panel of the PC.  Could this be the cause of the static I occasionally hear?  If so, how do I fix it? DAC?
