Audio Technica ATH- ES 10 Impressions Thread - Page 62

Can these compete with the Bowers & Wilkins P7 headphones?, there is a lack of reviews for the es10`s, I like the promise of a 53mm driver as opposed to the 40mm B&W headphones, and the slim portable design but I prefer the comfort and style of the P7`s, so how does sound compare?, help!.

what portable amp do you guys use with the ES10?

I use a Lehmann Traveller with my ES10 (11 pads) and DX50.
Not a bass heavy amp thank god, its the last thing ES10 needs!

I use a Leckerton UHA 6 mk.II with mine.  Source is a 160gb ipod classic.

has anyone experienced channel imbalance before? I did Bill-P's mod and I topcoat the metal cups every now and then to keep it in pristine condition. However, after a few days, the right monitor's sound became very faint, almost less than 1/4 the output of the left monitor. Any suggestion?

Sorry, I forgot to note that the mod has the potential to become unbalanced if the felt and leather dishes in the middle are not sandwiched tightly.

The fix is to either pad tissue or similar materials in the back of the leather piece, or just glue them together.
