Audio Technica ATH- ES 10 Appreciation Thread!! - Page 21

Yeah, I don't think I have heard the ES10 sound signature change ever since I got them.

The biggest changes have been switching earpads, using EQ, and use amps with EQ switches.

Talking about which, I just found my old C&C BH portable amp today. Pairing them with my ES10, I can only say... "wow". I have never heard this sort of soundstage before in any closed headphone. It's easily larger than some open cans that I have heard recently... namely the HD 650 and DT880.

I can't believe it. This late into ownership, and I still haven't heard everything yet! 

Just went down to my local store for 3.5hrs and tried lots of AT gear.

Difference between my ES10 and the ESW11 LTD is very little. Both sounded similliar and you can't really tell apart if you don't listen carefully. ESW11 has a little more bass. ES10 has a more prominent upper mid and treble. Overall sill prefer my ES10. :)

Tried it with their ESW11LTD's lambskin earpad. Almost no difference, but comfort has improved alot Isolation also alittle better. :)

Well... I think my next purchase would be the A2000X. Mother of clarity @.@ Just alittle bass light.

I want to upgrade the earpad to some leather one, can someone advice me weather I should buy the ESW9 or should I go with the ESW11?

I found this, they look leather but I wonder if they will send me the stock one, not this ?

That looks like the original ES10 earpads to me. If you're paying that much, you might as well contact Audio Technica directly. They can sell you some spare ESW11 earpads.

Do these have bigger/wider pads than the esw9a?

If you consider 2mm as "bigger", then yeah?

You can fit ESW9 earpads onto the ES10 just fine.

I really wish my ESW9's were wider, actually I wish they didn't sit on my ears lol

In that case, I think you may want to look at the W series. Those are bigger full-size cans from Audio Technica.

yea I wish I had the money for a pair of 3000s

I took the earpads out from the ESW11LTD of a local store and switched with mine to test.

My local AT office said they don't have stocks yet so I'm waiting for them to arrive :)

how was the comfort? The stock earpad on the ES10 is so annoying, I cannot use them more than 1 hour continously. 

Was its hard to change them?  How?

I've pulled out the ES10 pards just so I can have a closer look at the driver. It is as hard as taking out the HFI-780 ear-pads.
