Quality built between UM3X and Earsonics SM3

Im intersted which of these are more durable with better cabling? Can someone check who owns SM3 where they're built?

The westone has a better build than the earsonic. The chin slider on the sm3 is a bit too short for me and the build is a bit flimsy.

I have the SM3 right now and I don't think it's worse in build quality compared to the UM3x at all. The clear plastic housing is more transparent than the UM3x and makes it look better built to me. My only gripe with them is also the chin slider being too high up the cable.

K thanks guys i like chin slider bit higher. Decided i will buy SM3 inseatd of UM3x. My UM2 is now for sale :)

SMS sound better for me and both have average cables.

Lots of problems have been reported with the SM3 case separating at the "laser weld" seam.  The UM3X has not reported these issues.

 

The SM3 is made in France.  The UM3X is made in the US.

The um3x looks really cheaply made, but is also very sturdy and durable.

I always thought Westone Universals were made in China now? Am I wrong?

I have the SM3s now, and honestly the build quality is fantastic. Sure, the slider may be too far up but it's perfect for me. But yes, the cables, they tend to untwist themselves, as with the Westones.

build quality is more than  enough to me, considering i am  the guy listening to musics with SM3 even i am sleeping.................

 

Nothing happens after 3 months

they are, but the um series are made in the US
