Hello all, hopefully you can be of assistance :)
I have a pair of HD650s that I run from my laptop via an iBasso D12 amp/dac and I've enjoyed the results so far (this is my first headphone setup). However yesterday when I was round my parents I plugged my headphones into an (aging & budget) arcam integrated and there was a rather substantial sound difference in sound quality. This has led me to think about changing my iBasso D12 for something more substantial.
I'm not looking to spend too much but on the other hand I obviously want to make the change worth it. I would prefer a small, neat solution rather than something that takes up lots of space however it doesn't need to be portable. If you were in my situation what amps/dacs would you be looking at? Is it possible to get both the amp and dac in one box? I would be looking at buying second hand so the more suggestions the better really as that will obviously make it easier to find something.
