I just got my new MBP, and I was looking in Audio MIDI setup to see if this macbook still did 96khz like my old one... not only that, they added an 88.2khz option as well as a 32 bit option! It's interesting that they don't advertise this nor set it as the default.

A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...

I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

My early 2010 MacBook Pro has those options as well. Not sure if it is 10.6 or a new audio chip. I'd have to pull open my old one to check.

My first gen Al Macbook Pro lacks the 88.2kHz option, unfortunately. It can upsample 88.2KHz to 96kHz, but it would have been nice to have it directly. My older iMac is the same way.
I don't think I have any music that can use those settings... even 1411kbps losless AIFFs are 16bit 44100hz, which means even the 24bit might be overkill.
