I'm using a T C Electronic Konnekt 6 as a dac/amp and I keep knocking the firewire cable out when I'm trying to switch headphones. I also don't like having to reach around the back of the unit to change my headphones so I was thinking it would just be easier if I had an extension that came around to the side or the front of the unit but after a little looking around online I have come to notice that nobody makes an extension cable in the 6 inch to 1 foot range for headphones.
I have been thinking about making my own but I know next to nothing about soldering. I also found one of these at my local Guitar Center... http://store.stsi.com/doc-106.html This is pretty much exactly what I want but its wired wrong.
So I have just a few quick questions. Is there someone selling the kind of cable that I'm looking for and I just haven't found it? Would it be possible to rewire the cable I linked to? And how hard/good would that be compared to just making my own cable?
I have also thought about just using a right angle adapter but after finding the cable I'm really kind of sold on that idea. If only I could get it working now.
