or do you need some sort of adapter?
Most PCs these days have a mic jack and as long as you have some sort of software that utilizes a mic it should work fine.
I am afraid you cannot. It is a supercardioid electret headworn condenser microphone, which needs some sort of adapter for PC use.
It is not entirely clear from the limited documentation I have seem but since it contains an electret condenser mic it will require 5V phantom power. It comes on the ring of the 1/8" TRS plug. Or sometimes via an USB adaptor.
You will get this via a standard PC on board soundcard and all cards designed with gaming in mind. Also low end of the semi pro audio market, For example you get it on the E-MU 0202 but not the 0404. More expensive interfaces tend to supply 48V phantom power for use with studio quality condenser mics.
Yes it does, got myself a pre-amp with phantom power. Works fine, thanks all for replies.
