I'm a first time poster to this site. I'm looking for suggestions to upgrade my PC audio. I have a Dell Studio XPS 16 Laptop with MediaMonkey (%99 FLAC). After searching Head-Fi forums I've decided to buy a HRT MSii DAC (standard not +) and either a Nuforce Icon desktop amplifier or a Fiio e9.

 

Would both of these options have enough power to drive my HD580's? Any difference in quality between the  Nuforce and Fiio ?

I'd go for the Nuforce since it can also double as a speaker amp and you can get some real nice passives to go with it.  evil_smiley.gif
