Ripping CD's to FLAC - What program to use? - Page 2

I just use foobar2000, which uses the official flac encoder binary that has to be downloaded from here.

Then you can use mp3tag if you want to get freedb info and/or have better control of the tags.

EDIT: You can also use foobar2000 with the lame encoder to rip to mp3.

Been using dbpoweramp for most of last night and today.  Couple of my CD's I will have to save for running when I am sleeping they were taking so long, but on average I was looking at about 5 mins per rip.

Its fun to see how many folks have the same CD as you and kind of helps you gauge how out there your taste in music is lol....

Finished burning my last CD last night.  Sound much better and loving Media Monkey.

It got me excited so I decided to finally build a HPTC to run XBMC so I can stream downstairs  basshead.gif

EAC in windows, then use some program like MP3Tag or (even better) Easytag.

In linux, be a friggin man and just use flac from the command line like a boss.
