buying new speakers

hey head-fi, need some help picking out some speakers for my pc. i currently own logitech z323's and... well.... they suck. i'd like to get some better ones.

 

currently i have an essence stx in my pc and want to run a 2.1 speaker set from them.

 

my budget is around the 350$ mark, though prices where i live are messed up when it comes to price comparisons.

 

ill list some of  the speaker sets i was looking at:

 

mordaunt short aviano 2

monitor audio bx2

diamond wharfield 10.1

 

as for a sub i was thinking about getting the mordaunt short 308

 

any suggestions?

The alesis m1 mk2 passives , there around $195 a pair , they have a massive soundstage and excellent stereo imaging for a pair of bookshelfs they also go down to 45hz.
