Question about electric plugs

Hi everybody,

First of all, excuse my English because I'm a French and not bilingual.

I plan to buy a Amp for headphones, the Creek OBH-11, I've read that this one is much better with the power supply upgrade OBH-2. I didn't found this on french websites, the only one I could found was american (I think). So I have to purchase some adaptator to turn the american electric plug into a french one.

My question is : does this operation will affect in any way the sound quality ? I mean, may be there is some energetic deperdition or something, I don"t know. Or is there absolutely no consequence ?

Thank for the help

By the way, I plan to buy a Sennheiser HD650 and a CD Player Nad 515 like source, do you think that would be a sort of "average/good" configuration ?

Now I own a Shure SRH840 and I play my CD's with my Blu-Ray player..

The adaptor will mean more brass and nickel for the electric current to go though and if it is fused then it's more tiny wire for the current to pass though, nickel plated brass doesn't have the best conductivity see here http://www.mains-cables-r-us.co.uk/sitefiles/15/2/2/152201/On%20the%20Conductivity%20of%20Selected%20Metals.pdf

It's not likely to affect the sound as your amp will still be able to draw enough current to power it properly, the adaptor shouldn't make any real difference to the sound.

Ok, thanks for the precision ;)

Because I know that the interest of upgrading the Creek OBH 11 with the OBH2 is that this power supply is "regulated", whereas the one given with the amp isn't. So the adaptator won't avoid this caracteristic if I understand you.

No impact to the sound, that's why I was worried about so that's cool now !
