Hi all,

 

I have the following system right now: flacs on NAS -> eee pc (as music server with Foobar) -> USB into Alien DAC (DIY) -> PS Audio C100 amp -> Totem Hawks speakers.

I'm looking to upgrade DAC with something in $300 range.

 

I found these to have good reviews for: audio-gd

- NFB-3: a bit over the budget

- NFB-11: no USB, headphone amp which is useful (I have AKG-701 and AKG-271S)

- NFB-12: fits my needs

 

I'm leaning to NFB-11 which is a perfect value for me IF I can fix no-USB issue. Unfortunately no optical/coax output on my Eee PC

 

Any ideas? Other DACs?

 

p.s. listening to classical, jazz, classic rock mostly.
