Planning to buy a HiFiMan HM602, but is it worth the extra cash???

Thread Starter

I'm very seriously considering buying the HiFiMan HM602 to replace my lost iPod, but does the additional cost over the HM601 make it worth the investment? I know it has more built in flash memory, but I'm not familiar with "rolling" op-amps. Would this be considered a "mod"? What is the benefit?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There are no opamps to 'roll'.  You would be thinking of an iBasso product.  602 gets you an external DAC and perhaps a slightly more mid focused sound.  If you don't need that get the 601.
