Uhm.... Yeah... That's kind of the purpose of a cheap amplifier with preset EQs, isn't it?
but i use the 10/250 band eq (phone and computer respectively) so yeah eq is pretty much pointless for me. it was given to me by a friend so the most use i could get out of it is as a volume controller (~50 levels of volume compared to the phone's 13) and as a strain relief for the huge sennheiser jack (connected to L plug)
well agree on your point but just stating that it doesn't help push out any headphone's potential.
i don't know about the E5 and E3 and other little fiio amps though, i don't own them
OK guys, I'm sorry, but expensive headphones like that are a waste of money. There is no difference between my extreme-bitrate, 64kbps MP3s, and my High-Quality Apple Earbuds, and your absurd "Beats"
Quote:
don't forget your audiophile grade unamped iPod Touch 5g.
EDIT:
And equalizer set to Rock.
The iPod Touch 5G is overkill for anyone but crazy rich spoiled people. The Apple Earbuds with a Ultra High Sound Quality Advanced MP3 player, from a reputable audio store such as Walgreens is high enough quality for all but the most discerning audiophiles.
Speaking of snake oil...I saw the funniest description on some cables from Schiit the other day...Contemplating buying some Schiit just because they are funny.
Beyond Just Technology: SuperUltraHyperTechnology
PYST cables are made from only the finest 6-nines Unobtanium™ alloy, molecularly assembled in our Alternate Universe™ reality-distortion tesseract field , using a secret geometry reverse-engineered from crashed UFOs, painstakingly smuggled out of Area 51 by deep-cover operatives. Performance is further enhanced by the use of a QuantConnect™ quantum-entangled pair of transmission interfaces, held at absolute zero by our exclusive Stasis Field™ technology. The cables are then wrapped in NanoAeroCap™, a nanotechnology-enabled aerogel anti-capacitance insulation system, featuring Fractal Interleaved Geometry™ to create negative inductance for maximum audio transmission quality.
Or, er, well . . . again, no. These are nice, high-quality cables, with solid, reliable connectors. And they’re short. And not too expensive. That’s it. Hope you like them!
