ur an audiophile when u spend more then u should on ur rig and then hide the real prices of that rig to ur wife/husband or girlfriend/boyfriend (or say u exchanged ur old one with someone for ur new one)  wink.gif

When you debate your parents to try and get THE AKG Q350 because its on sale and you have no earbuds. You then plot on how to get amazon cards so as to buy them incognito, then wind up getting the K340 because you have enough amazon money.

then ur very lucky...most of the younger ones have more difficult parents and have to be a bit devious to get what they want biggrin.gif

They make fun of me sometimes for it. I actually told them once, I am considering two hobbies. One of them is audiophilia. The other is cocaine. They cost about the same. Which one should I take up?

well they are both a kind of drug, and the upkeep cost will only go up for both of them as time goes ontongue.gif

Yeah, my parents won't let me get "foolish" stuff even if I have the money for it. My moms reasoning is that I don't have seven sets of ears. LOL

I agree..i started with a simple bose headphone, then q-jays, westone, beyer, and now...check my profile what i have now and u see its really additive redface.gif .. u have to be careful not to get to deep into it like i am starting to be with cabling/amps and the sort biggrin.gif

Got Bose QC15s 7th grade, Beats Pros in 8th, AKG K702s (with an E11) in 9th grade, and now (in 10th), I'm on LCD-2s and an ALO Pan Am/Passport combo. I wonder where I'll be two years from now...in audiophile terms...

Yeah. I'm already considering replacing the cables on my TF10s with some silver, only because the stock cables suck though.

Already have a pair in my bedroom. Monitor Audio RX8s. I'm also what might be called a "home theater enthusiast." I also have a 5.1 setup and 50' plasma in my room. We are the 1%!
