I had Arch in the previous incarnation of the server, but I had some weird error turn up where I couldn't get it to update anymore. I figured I need more practice running Arch full time and the server is critical, so I've fallen back on Ubuntu and will run Arch in a virtual machine and play around with it until I'm more comfortable. It did work well for a while, though, and I learned quite a bit from the experience.

you know you are an audiophile when you rather switch off your noisy heater and have a cold night undisturbed by the noisy heater's noisetongue.gif

THIS. I do this when it's hot and I have my fan on. The noise bugs me while I'm trying to enjoy my music :P

Yeah, sorry about the derailment. I think you've seen something I might be more passionate about than collecting headphones. smile.gif

Anyway, you know you're an audiophile when you find yourself evaluating the quality of the sound system in the local supermarket as you're shopping. "No bass, very laid back treble, but non-fatiguing midrange...."

On the contrary....

you know you're an audiophile when you refuse to go to the supermarket without your portable rig. wink.gif

I use semi-open backs for my portable...enough so that I can hear a car coming behind me, or catch on if somebody tries talking to me...then I know to pause the tunes.

When you have been known to be sitting around, and someone is knocking on your door, for HALF AN HOUR straight, and you are too busy rocking out to ever notice.
