Seriously, it's only open-air gigs that have any chance of beating my home speakers, and they're not up to much anyway.

I wouldn't judge the future of our generation too much by what goes on on a university campus. I have to remind myself every time I'm at mine that these people and their ridiculously naive notions about the world are not representative of the greater majority of folks, and that at some point everybody either grows up, or else you just go on to do big people things while they remain behind, and in both cases you don't ever have to be around them again.

You know you're an audiophile when you hear a girl talking about the singles in her bag and you start thinking about what kind of nice portable headphones you could buy if you had that money.

I like that. xD

You know you're an audiophile when you rip the entire Beatles collection to FLAC and gently dream how it'll sound with your headphones until the rip finishes.

I go to Hofstra University. AKA, the site of the second debate for the current presidential election and the site for the last debate in the 2008 presidential election. For some reason I can't really get this idea you suggest into my mind.

Yes, indeed. I shall have to put them on as soon as I get home tonight and recover from my withdrawal. Skullcandy Mesh (or Hesh?) were pretty sucky IMO. I ended up only being able to enjoy them for podcast listening while I was doing my work.
