@SmOgER WOW! Major accomplishment on two fronts! Your song was very well done with nice sound design, enjoyable and modern.

Next, I believe you are the first person to ever crack the code on how to embed a Soundclould track on Head-Fi. Would you PLEASE do us all a favor and give a step-by-step breakdown on how you did it?

When I try to embed Soundcloud here it just turns out like this

<iframe width="100%" height="450" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/206178611&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false&amp;visual=true"></iframe>

OK everybody I just cracked how to embed Soundcloud on Head-Fi:

  • Find a (good) track on Soundcloud
  • Select "share"
  • Select "embed"
  • Copy the code
  • On a Head-Fi post, click "Source" (important)
  • Paste the code
  • Edit the height to around 200px (important)
  • Click Source again, and enter the track information by typing, or copy/paste (important)

Welcome to the new era of the Electronic Music Exchange thread!!! And era where we can share real underground and cutting edge music direct from artists, that is downloadable, legally, instead of questionable Youtube uploads! Let the Soundclould era begin...

It's downloadable? Flac?

Most songs on Soundclould are downloadable, according to whether or not the artist has this feature enabled, and the file format is according to the type the artist has chosen

This is just a short clip of what I'm currently working on. Thanks Levi for the detailed instructions on embedding from SoundCloud

Here's an unreleased track from Richard D. James's Soundcloud page

And here's a few random (recently uploaded; mid 90's) unreleased goodies from Mike Paradinias' Soundclould page

Thanks, I appreciate the support! wink.gif

I simply pasted the iframe code from share-->embed It worked straight away for me using chromium 46.0.2490.86.
Code:
<iframe width="100%" height="166" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/246916978&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false"></iframe>

EDIT: Okay, now we've got a whole interactive page inside your quote. Mkay... I like it so I'am just gonna leave it. biggrin.gif
Ha, scrolling still works on it with mouse middle click!

I like how chill that sounds, very well done.

You guys really put me in the mood to start producing again so i'm jumping on the Soundcloud bandwagon too tongue.gif
I haven't touched music making software since 2009 so this was just some fooling around. I really hope this Soundcloud link works.
I used Sennheiser HD600's (always worth noting IMO).
I called the track Malfunction.

(edit) Yes it works...thanks @DecentLevi
for posting the instructions on how to do it!
Thanks to @SmOgER for discovering how to do it too.

Amazing! We now have five members of this thread who are also producers. Those who truly love something will find a path to success [or is there a better quote for that?]

And Audioholic123, I like how your track is so avant garde; staying far away from the mainstream scene as you can!

Also I want to share Electrobel with you guys. This is an underground music site like Soundclould, and there is some astounding talent there.

"Electrobel is a free online community for electronic music artists that also features free downloads of submitted music."
