Yeah, looks pretty cool. I wanted to get it myself, but it's a bit too much here. There's a chance I'll be in Sweden later this year for some wedding - wonder if they have it in music stores, although I thought they wanted to keep it under $60, but it's 69 EUR (and I know, it's still cheap for an instrument).

A criminally-underrated mastermind known as Karsten Pflum has a new album just out called Dode! On this delightful excursion into the netherworld he ventures out into a little downtempo & ambient, along with his usual electro and IDM.

Previewing this album makes me think it could be placed on a space capsule to show aliens the awesomeness of humanity!

PS- his mastering lately has seemed to reach the plateau of perfection - I use a song from his 2014 Toffyland Tracks EP as a test track to try out new 'cans at headphone meets. The FLAC versions do amazing on hi-fi rigs.

Nice one, sounds tasty! I don't know Karsten Pflum too well, I just have his Nemo Loon EP from a little while back; that was more in the dubstep vein. On a side note, big up for Hymen Records! It's been one of my favourite labels for many years, with artists like Tonikom, Architect and Hecq on the roster - so consistent with the harder edge electronica. Gridlock's Formless was a modern classic IMO - also on Hymen.

Plaid - Double Figure

Oldie but a goodie! This always used to be the tune everyone craved when I went to see Plaid live - especially with Bob Jaroc's visuals on the big screen.

Plaid rocks! Saw them live once at a small venue in Portland. The stage was barely wide enough to contain their gear. I the middle of their set, some random dude just hopped up and started pop n locking back n forth across the stage like a maniac - freakin' hilarious!

RJD2 opened the show, throwing down music on 3 turntables.

Saw Autechre once in Portland at another small venue. SND opened for them.

Bogdan Raczyinski, Four Tet, Caribou, oh the list goes on...

Oh those were the days, my friends! The days before I grew older and had children eek.gif

Yeah man, my gigging / clubbing days are largely behind me as well although I am making an exception to see Autechre in Novemeber, supported by Objekt. Should be a blast!
