Fanmusic is a distributor and a brand of Chinese audio-equipment which also has an eBay store. I was contacted by Tony, their manager a while ago and he informed me that they were working...
Very nice amp for mid-fiers to entry high-fiers.
The sound quality and specs are very good for the price. Works very well with Jazz and Classical music in particular (not that rock and...
My pair was a supposed demo model from one of Hifiman's retailers. They came in mint condition, which is lucky for me. I'm not using a balanced cable yet, but I already feel it's a good upgrade...
The JVC HA M750's were my first "real" pair of headphones. Previously, I had just used iPod headphones and cheap 10 dollar headphones from my local grocery store. As such, I was very impressed by...
Anyways, I don't want to start an objective arguments here, so I'll stop bickering about it here.
Instead I'll post about Rene LaVice, my hometown homeboy on RAM Records. He's been killing lately. I see a lot of his DJing in Toronto, and he's got a great vibe.
Anyways his debut LP Insidious is coming out Feb 11th, and in anticipation he's giving away Thorax for free.
This is wrong. You can transcode a lossless format to any other format, but you should NEVER transcode a lossy format. It severely degrades the quality. Look at the following to see the difference, tell me which you think has been encoded from lossy.

My ears must be broken then.
To get back on topic RAM Records has been putting out some real quality stuff lately. Props to them.
Found two very interesting songs by a sound engineer in Singapore under his Soundcloud name "Team Brooklyn."
This first one is called "Friend No More" and it has some strange portions that kind of take you by surprise but I really like the rhythm and especially the progression from 2:20 - 3:15.

Can we get back to the "music exchange" function of this thread?? :(
I need someone elses opinion on these tracks..its driving me crazy.
To be honest, my opinion on dubstep is biased, so I can't comment on the first track other than it's super glitchy though (a good thing for me) and I haven't heard anything like it......
I really like that Ocean Dub track. I LOVE ethno dubstep. So when it's got an ethnic vibe to it, I'm in. It's very well done. Me gusta
Another free Soular Order track. The follow up to 'Twenty Four' which was a track he released last year. It's Ambient stuff rather than Future Garage. Soooo good.
EDIT: And my LP of Nothing Else finally shipped. :D
^ I also just got back form a rave. Kenny Ken + Crissy Criss in Toronto. Holllllllllyyy.
First time seeing Chrissy Criss live. This guy's something like 24 or 25, been spinning for more than half his life, and can SERIOUSLY rip it. I don't even know what to say after that. Three decks, and a Remix deck, and the best selection I've heard since Calyx and TeeBee's set.... and they had 2 mixers and 6 decks, four hands and two brains to work with, and Chrissy had HALF of that plus a remix controller. Kenny is over 50 years old and it shows in his DJing. But this set was a lot better than last year when I saw him though. Kenny is oldschool where Chrissy is young blood and had technology on his side (he rips a Remix Deck like I've never heard before) and an appreciation for a wider range of music, so his DJing is SO much better than Kenny's.
I don't know if anyone else knows, but Kenny Ken is Chrissy Chriss' step father. Kenny is super black and Chrissy is super white though lol. It's a "WOAH REALLY!?" moment when I tell people this fact as I promote it as a father/step son duo and their headshots are on the flyer.
I was trying to choose my words carefully. I didn't say that most people not being able to hear the difference is beside the point, I said it was beside my point, i.e. not related to the point I was trying to get across.
i was going to quote all the rest of the things you said, but in the spirit of not starting a format-fight, ill acknowledge i miss understood, and well leave it at that =]

Yeah, what I'm really against is the fact that places like iTunes (currently) don't give people even the option to buy lossless files. IMO people should have the freedom to decide for themselves what they are willing to pay for. Whether or not there's an audible difference between the lossy files and a CD-quality version is a matter for a separate discussion, but ultimately that's something that's up to each individual to decide for themselves.
I only buy releases that are not available anywhere else from iTunes, and since no one has the ability to buy the lossless version anywhere, there's not even a possibility to compare those releases to their lossless counterparts.
In other news, Beatport just cut their premium for upgrading to lossless by 25%.
Here's a track that's relatively straightforward and melodic and I can't help but like.

Hit the nail on the head there.
And yeah, that's pretty alright about the price cut, but bp is still so expensive, ESPECIALLY with new, exclusive releases.
