No other headphone has surprised me in the manner that the Tactic 3D managed to.
I originally purchased them because I needed headphones to do a Skype interview, and I wanted something...
Let me begin by saying there is nothing special about these headphones. My first impression of them made me smile because I fell in love with the oral shaped ear cups (I'm a sucker for "small"...
Owned a variety of DAC's DAP/sources, Cowon J3, Hisound Studio 3rd Anniversary, Dacport LX, HRT Music Streamer II+, Sony Walkman Z. The DX100 completely blows them all away with it's reference...
Before you read this, I think you should know that I'm not an audiophile and that English isn't my native language.
Let me start this on a positive note.
The design of Razer Tiamat...
Performance: Generally really well. Shouldn't lag at all with normal usage. Should be able to handle most modern apps. I managed to get around 8000 on Antutu Benchmark. Currently runs Android...
sub focus is such a pro! i think almost everyone who does dnb was/is influenced by him. i remember when i was at a festival, sub focus was one of the last to preform on the 2nd (and last) day. i must have heard "out the blue" 50 times before i actually saw sub focus.

yea this is definitely one of my favorite dnb tracks, i remember having just discovered it, i listened to it on repeat for like, 2 days.
glad to have my ears allmost completely heald so i can rejoin this thread, iv been lacking new music and it hurt almost as much as my ears did =]
Hey no probs. The James Blake one in particular is something of a modern classic imo. It's low key, slow electronic with soulful vocals, elements of dubstep. It's a hard genre of music to be original in these days, but I think hes done it. He's been nominated for plenty of awards but unjustifiably not won any. Great late night music!
I'd recommend any of his E.P's as well. As well as Mount Kimbie's back catologue as they work together and share a similar sound.
It's the only Trap song I've ever liked. I guess that's an accomplishment? Still a stupid genre, IMO.

James Blake is great, but I kind of consider it filthy hipster music (I own the LPs, lol). Strangely enough there's been a few 'hi-fi' mags that have loved the album and use it for test tracks. They all made some comment about audiophile Dubstep was never something they thought they'd see.

I didn't expect Beatport to charge the regular price of one track for a 74 minutes long DJ mix. I don't mind, though. Not one bit.
Edit
Beatport has fixed their pricing and the DJ mix is now categorized as a mix as opposed to a track and the price has gone up considerably. I hope others managed to take advantage of the original price.
Not sure if this has been mentioned here before, but i just picked up Kid Koalas new album.
Loving every bit of it (pun intended).
i didnt know kid koala was still going... his music is weird but it does have some appeal to it. i have to be in a very specific mood for it though. i do give "your mums favorite dj" a listen from time to time.

why? i like its infantile simplicity. its just fun to listen to imho
oh i dont mean to get into genre disputes... im not saying trap is a complex and deep genre, im just saying its fun to listen to. cant abide by rap most times... maybe here and there if its part of a dnb song but other than that, not so much...
i LOVE the glitch mob, and having jay z in the background just makes me ignore him and listen to the music. i can just listen to the music without having to concentrate so much on ignoring any rappers... im curious about instrumental hip hop though, any recommendations? preferably youtube recommendations =]
