Any down side to embedding artwork in a FLAC file?

I am re-ripping my entire CD collection in FLAC. I used to just leave the album art in the album's folder, but since upgrading my OS, I've added Windows 7 integration to Foobar - I've noticed that album art needs to be embedded into the files for the jump list to display the artwork.

So my question : is there any reason against embedding album art in a FLAC file? I know it is common to embedded the covers into MP3s but am not sure about FLAC.

Thanks.

Not really besides adding the size of a small jpg to every file instead of having a single jpg per folder, it may be problematic if you decide to use a 3000*3000 high quality jpeg for your artwork though.

OK and thanks. Mine are just 500*500 jpegs, size is relatively small.

No real downside then.
