[Review] Minerva Mi-1 Custom IEM - Page 2

FWIW I found the bass in the monster turbine to be plenty but wearing.  Found myself turning the volume up to get better detail which of course didn't work.  As ever ymmv!    I'm really tempted to try the mi-2's at that price point.  All I want in an iem is to be comfortable, sound great and have good isolation.  Virtually every iem I've tried there's been fit issues in my right ear.

I've placed an order for the Mi-2 after couple of exchanges with Lee.

Don't think you will be disappointed, I've had my mi-3's for almost 2 weeks now and they continue to amaze me on a daily basis!

After a lot of reading around, I finally placed an order of Mi-1.. Sadly, due to the easter recess, it is taking a bit longer than the usual 10 days (today is the 15th day! Sob Sob)...  Lee called today morning and assured me that I should receive the IEM by Saturday!

Eagerly waiting...

Slight confusion here possibly.  Minerva are based in the uk.  Here we get the good friday AND Bank holiday monday off from work.  This means slight delays to the postal system for obvious reasons:)

Exactly.. But I just had a chat with Minerva.. My IEMs can only be shipped by Monday 16th.. Unfortunate, I must say... Just hope that the IEMs are worth the wait..

It could be worse, I put in my order for a pair of Mi-3 on Wednesday and I have to wait until mid-May for them. Although that's because they're a birthday present rather than delay on Minerva's part =P

Well, when you put that way! Hahaha

I think I am just getting a little impatient and that is normal I guess.. I will update here, once I receive my pair...

So, I finally received my IEM couple of days ago and I am loving the noise isolation on these things.. It is taking a bit of effort to put them into the ears correctly, and definitely not meant for office listening I would reckon! Imagine having them to pull them out, everytime someone calls you! redface.gif

I am no audiophile.. I do not know how to describe the sound quality in so many standard terms, but I love music and the sound coming out of these is one of the best I ever heard.. I am using a Cowon S9 as my primary source... I tried different EQ settings (There are too many settings on S9).. I think I am getting closer to get the settings right for this pair of earphones.. I think for its price, this couldn't get any better...
