Hello i am into hifi and have two sets of brand new headphones i couldnt help it i liked them both :0)
I have Audio Technica ATH-AD700 andSennheiser HD 595
I use Arcam as i like the sound so have been using an Arcam Alpha 8r Amp as my pre-amp and an Arcam Alpha 9p as a power amp i want to know how much id need to spend on a headphone amp roughly to get a significant improvement in sound over my arcam pre/power i mean would there be a great difference by buying a dedicated headphone amplifier ?
I like to listen to my headphones loud would a headphone amp allow this ?
What way to go valve or mosfets ?
What would be the damage for a decent sound would something like Graham Slee be ok or would more expensive be far better any advice would be great thanks
