Best solder to use when recabling headphones.

I'm planning on recabling my JVC HA-RX900 (and ATH-AD700 in the future).

What is the best or recomended solder to use?

The most expensive stuff you can find....    J/k :)  regular solder is good, just make sure you create a strong/solid joint. I personally use some eutectic 63/37 as it melts and flows very easily.  Since you are only making a few solder joints, you only need to buy a small amount (like in the tubes) at your local hardware store. I wouldn't spend more than 5 bucks...

Regular old 60/40. Works great. I like Kester, but Radio Shack's solder is quite good, too.

What's more important is how skilled you are at soldering.  Right now, I'm using a leadfree variety by Qualitek from their SN100e line.  I prefer 63/37 or 60/40 for usability, but I figure that I should start trying to be environmentally aware.

Eventhough it is forbidden meanwhile, I am loving the solder with lead and silver. Fortunately I have something at work. Tomorrow I can give you the detailed chemical composition..

Here it is:

S-Sn62 Pb36Ag2, diameter 0.5mm
