The iOS application Soundcloud use a same resource of iTunes for playing sound but the track of Soundcloud is downloaded from web. I have not heard difference of SQ and volume level. Playing music and video located to a remote server is surely the next step of this technology, whit an account we listen all music whit same sound quality necessarily.
Apple would release a 24 bit track. The idea is more excitant but we can observe a very notable difference? I think this is a possible next step of Apple for contrast a free streaming media same soundcloud.
