Hello people

Prologue
After a long time of searching for clip-ons that fit my visual taste, I came to the point to design and craft them by myself using a 3d printer. I'm not exactly unexperienced at industrial design, so no worries about that, but I don't know much about the electronics of headphones.

Project
I'm going to document my process with pictures about buying the headphones with the proper drivers, designing the perfect clip-ons by analyzing various shapes of ears, rebuilding it in a 3d-application and printing the model. I'd be glad if you put in your knowledge about electronics and some critique about everything I do.

Note that I'm not exactly an amateur at design, but by no means a professional either. This project is about fun and not to be useful in anyway.

My actual question
My choice fell onto the Koss PortaPro and the KSC75. Sadly, the KSC35 has been discontinued. Now I'm not sure if the electronic architecture is the same. If it is I'd go for KSC75, because it's cheaper. (Any other suggestions are welcome!) I also wondered how much of the cover's removable to replace it.

Peace!
