I've been considering a DAC or Creative's little portable box, but how good is the actual sound quality of the X-FI Surround. Sure reviews claim it's fabulous, but most reviews of a decent product usually do. I'm not really sure if I want to sacrifice quality for the virtual surround sound, but for gaming in particular I find that feature near-essential for my enjoyment. So how is the quality compared to say the uDAC2 or Fiio E7, both of which are also in my price range and consideration.
