I'm sure you guys are probably sick of these, but I would like some recommendations. In searching the boards, there are quite a few posts already, but I do have some specific requirements that I did not see in the posts going back a few months.
What I am looking for is the following:
_________________________________________________________________________
The best bang for the buck (between $1-$300) In Ear headphones that do the best job at:
_________________________________________________________________________
Isolating other sounds (My lost Etymotics ER-4P were great at this)
Recreating the best possible sound at its price point (a nice "true" midrange is what I desire most, as I do not listen to too much bass heavy music ( not much electronic) or treble heavy music (not much metal). Feel free to correct me if I'm in error regarding "bass heavy" or "treble heavy" genre assignations.
Are sturdy and resist sweat well (as they will be used mostly at the gym or running outside)
Have a long enough cable.
Come with a sensible warranty
Come from a company that is easy to deal with (I had a good experience with Etymotics, and I lean towards another pair of ER-4P because of this. I remain on the fence only because the ER-4's might not longer represent the best bang for the buck in all departments.)
Thank you all in advance.
MC
