MP3 Player with Search Function?

My library is too huge to find a song/artist/album with only alpha sort. What mp3 players have a search function? I know the iPod touch has this which I don't mind getting but I have already had most of the past iPods and now I am just looking for something different.

Most android PMPs have a search function.  Those include the Archos 28,32,43, Cowon D3, Creative Touch 2, and a Samsung model yet to show up. Some search functions are more precise than others though. The D3 for example lets you search the web, the installed app, your contacts, and more depending on what apps are installed.  It doesn't have a default option to search music though. The Touch 2 at least had Music as one option to choose in Search settings.   The Archos' search function can search through your music, but have given me mixed results depending on what I entered.

Does the Cowon J3 have a search function?

 

edit: nvm, found out it does. Will be getting the J3 :)

Really? I have the J3 and I can't say that I have ever seen a search function. Where did you get this information?

When the music is listed, tap the center bar at the top. A submenu will drop down with two icons on it.  There will be a magnifier icon on the left. Tap it to get a text box and keyboard to enter search words in. I believe it only searches at the folder level you are at and below.  To search your entire collection be sure you are at the upper most song level.

The J3 has indeed a search function for folders - i just tried it and it works
