Hello, I've read great things about the cowon D2+, and now I got a chance to get one used at a reasonable price :)
But how is the sound quality vs a good phone? because i'd definetly prefer to have phone/player all in one, Right now I have a Sony Ericsson x8, but I plan to get a new (high end, could be new iPhone5 if it's nice and it launches soon, but probably Samsung Galaxy S II)
My cans are a pair of Ultrasone DJ1, I'm using them unamped. So the player gotta drive them.
I'll be playing flac files, and I don't really use equalizer much, I usually just put it at rap/hip hop or bass boost, it's not something I like to change each and everyday.
Also, is there a better alternative for a player at around 100$ that will sound better than cowon d2+?
Another option i thought is, what about a dac/amp/combo at around $100 plus my phone vs the Cowon d2+
