Put me down as a maybe. I have no idea what I'll be doing that weekend (probably studying for finals) but we'll see what my schedule looks like as it gets closer.

Count me in.

Will just be bringing my lowly K701s and Audio-GD Fun if I haven't already sold it by then.  Anyone else coming from the NYC area?

That's great news!

It looks like I will probably be able to come to the mini-meet.  I was sorry to miss the New York meet.  Actually I ended up going to a funeral near Philly (about a 2-1/2 hour drive for me), not all that far from Lansdale.

But I love the mini-meet format as a better chance to actually hear stuff, and get more "quality" time with fellow audio geeks.

Not sure what I'll bring.  Probably LCD-2's + Eico HF-81 amp and/or Mapletree Audio Ear+ Super-II.

Source is a question mark.  Maybe a laptop or a Squeezebox Touch + external USB drive.

DAC is an even bigger question mark at the moment.  Could play EQ games with a Behringer DEQ2496.  Might be fun, but it's not a wonderful DAC.  I've got a couple more choices, but don't want to disassemble too much here at the ranch.

I'd like some input from people on software.  The vast majority of music I listen to is on LP, and I won't move a carefully set-up TT.  My CD collection is probably weird and unpopular.  It would be nice to bring/hear some Hi-Rez stuff for a change, altho all my own high resolution recordings are classical, which many people don't want to listen to.  At the last meet, I brought a bunch of "interesting" music which I thought would get people excited.  Unfortunately, I discovered what most people wanted to hear were recordings with which they were already familiar.  So the old audio-phool standbys were in demand (Eva Cassidy, Cowboy Junkies, Jennifer Warnes, Miles Davis, etc.).  A few intrepid explorers did go for my Rod & Gab recordings or the African music or the angry girl blues singers.  But not many did.

Suggestions?

Hope the weather cooperates.  Be nice to catch up with some of the folks I met at earlier meets!

Frank

I'd be coming down from Connecticut.  Going right thru NYC on the way.  Need a ride?
