which PMP for Denon D2000?

I want the best sounding portable player for use at work with my Denons. I would really love a player that has good separation and soundstage. Not concerned with size or battery life. I listen to everything from classical to heavy rock to rap and everything in between.

The sound from my sony x series walkman through my d2000's is quite remarkable. Lovely, mature and refined, it's almost as good as my home x-can v8p v-dac rig. Plenty loud enough for indoor - garden listening, very very good match imo.

Thanks Neeley. I hadn't thought about the Sonys. Time to do some research on the X series. I'm surprised that it sounds so close to the x can v8.

Has anybody used the s:flo2 with denons? Wondering if it would be a good match?

Yes, I use my D2000's with my PMPs and I consider my s:flo2 to be the best option for these cans (well, the HiFiMan 601 is just as good, or better). The Denon's don't require much to amplify them and work especially well with those two players.
