just a follow up, i bought everything, but the cable wasn't long enough to reach my pc, but that extension causes some high pitched (squeal?) sound..., but the sound isn't there when i plug it straight into my ipod, so i'll have to look up a longer cable. Thanks a lot for the help with everything (i love this mature community) and happy listening =)
