Nankai, sorry cannot download the firmware. Your download link is not link to the file.

you have to type "http://" then the link

I already downloaded, it works fine, but when updating firmware it said 'updating firmware for hm801', but then it said 'successful' and everything is fine

Don't expect your SDHC card troubles to be remedied for the HM-601 though.frown.gif

worked well for me. at first, I was trying to load tunes onto the hm-601 without a card present, and it would occasionally stall. the two things that improved this (while I shop around for the right SDHC cards) were the firmware upgrade and an old card. the firmware allowed me to use a 32MB card (yes: megabyte, it's a museum piece ;-) but it works, was new in plastic wrap deep in storage with some old photo gear), and the presence of that card also accelerates the loading of hi-rez files onto the hifiman. (new head-fi craze: NOS memory cards?) joking apart, I believe the firmware update has made my player more functional. fwiw I am using apple computers, and haven't encountered issues yet with my computers, after the firmware upgrade.

I am very sorry, but the update hasn't solved the noise problem at all...

602: Didn´t resolve the sudden USB breakup during upload when no SD card is present. Sorry!

Silly question, but how do I reboot the HM602? Thanks.

Never mind ... I figured it out! Upgraded the HM602 successfully. Note: While upgrading it flashed HM801 instead of HM602 as reported above. Thanks.

What exactly does this upgrade do? I got my HM602 a little over one year ago and love it. is this the rock box upgrade or something similar? I just want to know before I delete all of my music and have to reinstall.
