Fuze over Clip+ for EQ'd bass-heavy muzak with AKG q460's.

I just picked up a Fuze v1 for 29.99 that looks like brand daggum new! 4GB. I Rockboxed it and set the EQ to the same settings that I use for my Clip+. I started out with a little bit of G-Stoned Book album. I noticed that the mid-bass was a little heavier sounding through my AKG Q460's. I had to drop the 2nd EQ channel (mid bass) down a couple dB to balance it out. I liked the sound alot, but I kicked up channel 1 (low bass) up a couple dB  and tweaked a tad. I like it alot better than my Clip+ for bassy music. Even using the same settings...the Fuze sounds better through the AKG's. Good combo fo sho!

I think I'll use the Clip for my other genre's and use the Fuze for Hip Hop, Club, Electronic. Wow!

How is the volume level of the fuze compared to the clip+, is it as loud or lower on the fuze? I have a friend making a trade with me, and I want to see if the fuze is a good idea for me.

I'd say there's about 2dB difference in mine running Rockbox with a flat EQ...the Clip+ being a tad louder. Though I didn't turn them up all the way to compare their volumes at 100%. (that would hurt my ears) Either way, they're both plenty loud enough to cause my ears to ring if exposed for too long.
