Sound card mainly for DAC for use with external amp??

Hi Folks!

 

I've been around for quite some time, but i've always managed to find what i was searching for within other peoples threads.. I have a question.

 

Most of my music comes from my PC (win7 x64, flac audio), and i'm considering hd-800 + violectric v181/200 (which is almost certain, as i have heard them, and omg biggrin.gif....), but as my sound comes from the pc i'm considering either external dac or internal dac (sound card)

 

Which solution is the best?

 

I aint really that much into the sound card market, so i hoonestly don't know i it's even possible to get decent gear?

An external DAC will bring out the best in your HD800.  Ask in the Dedicated Source Components forum.  Make sure to mention your budget.

As you go over there, read up on the Audio-gd NFB-1WM.  Also, the Bel Canto DACs may be a real good option as well.

Thanks for reply.. thought it'd be tough to get a soundcard in a decent class.. i'll head right over there!
