DIY parts bonanza with an emphasis on Beyerdynamic. Some parts free!
Will Ship To: Anywhere
Over the years I have attained a variety of bits and pieces for various projects. Since I am a Beyerdynamic fanboy due to the quality of their kit, I have enough parts to build a complete DT770/80 ohm headphone and still have parts left over. Now if someone wants me to build it for them, feel free to contact me but I thought I would offer up a bunch of different parts for the DIY'ers in you all. The fun is using these parts to build something else. One of my fav sub 'phone hobbies is creating frankenphones - headphones made from various parts. Drop in a driver from one manufacturer into another's chassis and you will be amazed how different it can sound. You just don't know what you are going to get.
So here is the laundry list that goes along with the pics I have uploaded:
Drivers (only sold in pairs):
-DT770 Pro / 80 Ohm.............$65
-M-Audio Q40........................$35
-Sennheiser HD590................free (Some of you young 'uns may not of heard of this old Senn model. Goes back a ways.)
Beyerdynamic snap pads
-Brand new (1).......................$15
-Used (1)...............................$8 (plenty of life left in them)
-Well used (1)........................free
-New custom.........................$25 (Had this made by a shoe repair place. I didn't like the brass snaps and they aren't perfectly in line. Otherwise, real leather. Nice)
Beyerdynamic ear pads (only sold in pairs)
-Black velour (new).................$30 (These are the smaller diameter earpads that will NOT fit the current gen DTxx0)
-Black velour (exc. condition)...$25
-Black velour (worn).................free
-Silver velour (lots of life left).....$10
Miscellaneous Beyer parts
-Yokes (the pair)..............................$25
-Headband frame.............................$10
-DT770/80 sound chambers (pair)(2)..$35 (Lettering is intact with little to no sign of wear.)
-DT770/80 sound chambers (pair)......$15 (Lettering mostly gone.)
-Driver mounting hardware (pair)........$12
-Hardware bits and pieces.................free (These are the parts you need to mount the yokes to the headband and to the sound chambers. Will give priority to those who might want to build a complete headband but can come in handy if trying to replace a screw or piece that got scratched. Not pictured, btw.)
For shipping within the CONUS, $3 per package. International - $8 for First Class / $14 for Priority.
If you are new to the DIY game, feel free to ask me questions to help you in your project. I am always encouraging those who like to tinker to play around with this stuff.
