Xonar STX and T1s

So I currently have the STX in my gaming rig.  While gaming I listen to a ton of music so I would like to get nice cans than my PC350s.  I have been looking into the BD T1s and was wondering if the card could power them or if I am completely wasting my $$ w/o getting and external amp.

You definitely want to pair those headphones with a powerful amp.  If you want a more efficient neutral can, try ATH-A2000X or W1000X for a more flavorful and bassier presentation.  Some have said K702 is okay out of the STX, not that I would know for sure, but they are pretty demanding as well.

Mad Max yea it is As long you use the High Gain headphone amp setting for the AKG 702's.
