I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...

I didn't think of TEAC when I began searching for a dedicated CD player. My initial short list included Denon, Cambridge, Marantz, Onkyo. The Teac intrigued me, so I went for it. It is very...

I just received my SigPros (bought from a fellow head-fi'er), and now have several hours with them. They are great headphones. Agree with most of what everyone's saying about them. These...

I gave that album a legitimate chance. I listened to it several times, and part of my felt like it was awesome, and heavy like a 1000x life size granite statue of an ancient epic king is heavy but never really struck me as being great. The first two tracks are pretty cool, but I cant really think of anything else from the album that stuck with me.

To each his own...other albums worth noting are The Animal Spirits by Slough Feg and The Final Frontier (they may not be the best of 2010 bet they are pretty damn good).

Wow I just finished your list, JudoJeff. I really enjoyed it, awesome music. I was specially shoked by Firmament
! The Ocean has to be one of my favorite bands now. I've already downloaded the CD, and I'll buy it as soon as I can. The rest of the music is very nice too; Daath, October Falls, Immolation, Kvelertak, Blind Guardian, and Demiurg were my favourite after The Ocean.
Of course, there are some that I already own (Agalloch, Alcest, Enslaved and In Mourning). I am thankfull for your contribution.

Awesome I'm glad you liked it and have such good tastes. Heliocentric and Anthropocentric are a couple of the greatest albums of all time and it blows my mind that they were released in the same year. While I like Helio more because it is more melodic, musical and layered Anthropocentric has some of the greatest songs ever written (the almightiness contradiction, she was the universe). The brilliant songwriting and awesome thought provoking lyrics and themes just top it off. I love concept albums.
I am really into October Falls right now, I would really recommend their previous release The Womb of Primordial Nature as well.
The Body- All the Waters..
You would probably like 40 Watt Sun.
