Denon ah-d1001 vs ah-d1100

So I have been obsessing since my 1001's bit the dust, and I am reading a lot of reviews that the 1100 is way off balance towards bass.

I absolutely loved my 1001's preferring them even to my wife's 595's. Perhaps I like a warmer basser sound?

Do the 1100's sound comparable to the 1001s? If I liked the old will i love the new?

Yes they are similar but with bigger soundstage and harder hitting bass, bigger sound overall probably due to move from 40mm to 50mm driver.

Also the pads are ten times better on the D1100, same ones as the AH-A100.

how much bigger is the soundstage, which is best for gaming, I heard the D1100's exagerate the imaging. Also how is the isolation on the D1001?

The D1001 is one of the worst isolating closed headphones I've tried. I don't worry about sound seeping out, but it doesn't do much to block environmental sounds from coming in.

It's a relatively balanced, slightly "smoky" sound that is not too punishing or revealing, which perfectly complements the very lightweight, uncommitted feel of the chassis and pads.

I have definitely read people prefering D1001 to D1100.
