MIDI to USB PCB/Schematic?

Hi,

I'm in the middle of an LM3886 build, but I realized as I was on my electric drumset today that I have no way to record to my computer. The headphone out to the microphone jack on my computer makes it super distorted, so I was curious as to whether or not there was anyway to get a MIDI signal and convert it to a USB one.

Anyone ever see a project like that? I could go buy one of those cheap ones but perhaps there is a project I could try?

They seem to have a lot of information for MIDI music

No I haven't. I'll give it a look. I probably shouldn't get too involved as I still have an entire amp to build...but hey thanks.
