Ipod Nano 1st generation shake function version rockboxable?

On www.rockbox.org it says that the first generation nano is rockboxable. But I am wondering if that applies to the 1st gen nano that has the shake function. If anyone knows I'd really appreciate your feedback. Thank you very much. :)

Well, Sonic if I'm not mistaken the shake feature came along in the 4G Nano.  I have a 1G Nano rockboxed and works very well.  Unless the shake feature is there, I must have missed it after owning it for about 5 years.

Ahh you're right. Sorry. My buddy told me he had a shake feature 1st gen nano and I just didn't research his claim. He wants help with getting lossless files on his nano. I know he either has to convert to AIFF or ALAC. Now I think Itunes has a converter but it sucks doesn't it? Any other suggestions?

Edit: He has FLAC files right now.

CueTools is a great little tool for all converting needs.  I also own a Touch and use it to convert to ALAC.  You can convert to individual tracks, cue sheets etc....Very nice indeed.

Thanks, this actually seems fairly easy to use. However, I don't quite understand that the little bar ranging from 0 to 12 is in the Audio Output section.

You mean this one?   If so, that's for the size/bitrate. I only move it when I encode to ogg. For lossless, I leave it as is .  Higher number, bigger size.  Lots of different variations you can do with albums.  There are many settings.  Takes a little getting used to but great little program.

Bah, bitrate doesn't matter then if it's lossless. Lossless is lossless, period! ... right? lol :)

Thanks again, man. I appreciate your help.
