HM-601 synergy with Westone 3

My current portable setup is working very nice: Sansa Fuze Rockboxed +Westone 3....BUT I thought is time to get myself an upgrade and Hifiman seems to be a very good choice.

I don't really use any of the extra features that HM-602 has, so HM-601 seems to be a perfect fit for my needs and BUDGET:)

The big question is about the synergy with my current IEM Westone 3, as I've read that HM-602 does not really play well with them, so I wonder if the same applies to the 601 model.

I am not about to change my IEMs, as I like very much..but the new source can be something else beside HM-601, IF it gives me a noticeable upgrade over what I have now...

Thanks a lot for your suggestions!

Oh well..I guess nobody uses this combination, so it might not be a good one :(

1 - HM-601 is waaaay better than Sansa Fuze, Clip, etc;
2 - HM-601 likes brighter/analitical headphones.

Cheers,

Peter
