Question about building a 4 conductor 4.5mm cable

The biggest question for me is what type of cabling do I need to put the ends on.  Will any cable with 4 wires would work? Left, Right, Mic, Ground.

Would this work: http://www.kvconnection.com/product-p/b-wd-6502fe.htm

Also if anyone knows of a place with reasonable shipping to canada that sells the following items, let me know:

3.5mm 4 conductor plug

3.5mm 4 conductor chassis mount (trrs)

3.5mm 3 conductor chassis mount (stereo)

MarkerTek.com has this stuff, but it is $30 to ship to canada.

kvnconnection.com has all of the stuff too, and it is only about $5 to ship to canada, but each connector is 3x more money than markertek.

Thanks,

~S

TakeFiveAudio is located in Ontario and has a fairly big boutique variety (some things you cannot get elsewhere), but it's a tad bit more expensive. I use Redco for bulk wire and common connectors (and shipping is very reasonable as well).

Thanks for the tip on take 5.  But they don't seem to have any 3.5mm 4 conductor stuff, that I can see.

Does that wire look alright for a TRRS cable?

I am adding a mic to a set of cans.  I'll have TRRS coming in. Stereo from TRRS jack will go to speakers. The mic will go to TRS jack (so mic is removable). Do I just need to connect the mic and ground lines from the TRRS to the TRS jack?

Anything that has the 'Starquad/quad' label means that there are four conductors. I know Canare, Mogami and Redco has their own quad-type mic cable. As long as the cable is properly grounded, doesn't matter which ground you connect it to.
