My cosmic sale fell thru, and I'm not certain if the Clou Red/HD600 I just got offers me a significantly different experience than my much more portable etys. If I don't have a cosmic then I don't really need the headroom traveller
. So here's my sale info:
1. Headroom cosmic for $330 - This is the front of the Cosmic (perfect condition!)
The back of the Cosmic (allows use of Base Station 1)
Front of Radio Shack International Compact Power Adapter (replaces the clunky US power supply provided by Headroom)
Back of the Power Adapter (notice the retractable prongs)
Cosmic manual
Custom made 4AA battery pack (2-3 hours of action, replaces the atrociously huge 4D Cell Battery Pack)
Considering that the latest edition of the cosmic costs around $700 and that it is almost identical in sound quality ( http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showth...&threadid=1808 ), purchasing an old cosmic is an excellent alternative to the revised one. I also consulted with others on pricing a perfect old cosmic in the amp forum on head-fi, and it looks like $400 is reasonable. BUT I'M selling it for $330!!! Its cheaper than a new supreme, and it's a heck of a lot better. I will throw in a Straightwire RCA to mini as well!
2. Headroom Traveller System Case for $100 - Mint condition with no wear and tear, retails for $129 without shipping at headphone.com . This is the best headroom product I have ever used, and its absolutely a masterpiece of design.
3. Clou Red/HD600 in Headroom Headphone Case for $315 - Great condition HD600/Clou Red in a Headroom Headphone case (which offers a lot of protection)... it's great. Will include the original senn case as well.
US shipping is included in the price for the items and I prefer either a money order or paypal (paypal costs will not be additional... hopefully this will inspire some of you to use this, rather than wait for money orders).
