Is it just me or does The Fame appear to be very well mastered?

Possibly a noobish question but I'll go for it:

Why is the mastering on the cd different from the one on vinyl?

Ummm, because cd is cheaper? <--- zero experience with vinyl.

For me, Lady Gaga is poppy trash. But she's catchy, well-recorded and well mastered poppy trash, so I enjoy her work even as I cast down all of the millions of other proprietors of poppy trash.

Some of her bass beats clip like a mother, but I think that's deliberate. I also liked The Fame Monster more in terms of both music and mastering.

The Fame was better mastered than The Fame Monster; all eight tracks of TFM are hideously loud. Granted, her entire discography is loud, but I'm listening to both CDs right now, and The Fame sounds better, more dynamic.

 

Music quality-wise, the The Fame has longevity. I liked TFM at first, but I can barely listen to the songs now, maybe except Bad Romance.

Because the stylus needs to stay in the groove of the vinyl.
